Used by US Forest Service Smokejumpers to get into dangerous back-country fire zones, the C-23B Sherpa is a military transport aircraft transferred from the U.S. Army to the USFS via The National Defense Authorization Act in 2014. Aside from aerial firefighting missions, the C-23B also serves as a transport for communications equipment, ground fire crews, management teams, and other essential cargo.

In one of the most unique undertakings by Brickmania, the C-23B Sherpa kit sports the colors of the Missoula Smokejumper Base at the Aerial Fire Depot in Missoula, Montana. This highly detailed model includes over 40 custom printed elements including a crew of four minifigs with custom created USFS hats with headphones. Play features include spinning props, posable rudders, elevators, and ailerons, opening doors, as well as a detailed interior and cockpit. The build’s design allows easy access to the fuselage for added playability and includes a brick-built display stand. Note that the minifigures with the C-23B Sherpa are crew members not Smokejumpers, but Smokejumper minifigures are available as an additional purchase.
